Firehouse Subs is a US-based fast food restaurant that specializes in hot subs. As a personal patron of this establishment in the past, I love the sandwiches here. They are authentic, hearty, and positively delicious. Instead of toasting them, they are usually steamed which makes the bread hot and fluffy.
Today I’ll teach you how to fill out a Firehouse Subs application and give you all the information you need to make a great impression and start a career.
The Company’s History and Products
Firehouse Subs began in 1994 in Jacksonville, Florida. It was founded by two former firefighters by the names of Robin and Chris Sorensen. Sandwiches prepared here are steamed with meats and cheeses and then placed on a toaster sub roll.
Each location has a family-oriented atmosphere that keeps up the firefighter theme. The restaurants are decorated with fire equipment, and typically feature a different mural based on the location.
Each of the subs on the menu are also named after firefighting terms. My personal favorite is the “Hook and Ladder.” There are also hot sauces available that go from mild to a fire in your mouth if you get my drift. To round out the feel of the locations, there are also images of the founding members of the firefighting service.
Firehouse Subs as named “Company of the Year” by KPMG in 2006. They were also the “National Chain” winner of the Restaurant Association’s Restaurant Neighbor Award for Community Service.
In 2005, the Firehouse Subs Public Safety Foundation, a non-profit organization, was formed. It provides funding and support for local firefighters. In 2006, the company expanded into the Northeast, Central, and Southwest regions of the U.S with another 100 locations planned.
In August of 2011, the company started placing Coca-Cola Freestyle in all of their locations after a six-month test. This was the first company to use the technology in all of its franchises.
As of 2013, there were 700 restaurants in 36 states and Puerto Rico. In 2015, there are 900 total. The first international location opened in October of 2015 in Ontario, Canada.
Customers who come in on their birthdays with an I.D can also get a medium sub for free. The hot sauces that are used in the restaurants are also available for purchase on the an official website where customers get 7% off.
Subs are a beautiful thing, and everyone has a unique way of doing them. The first place you should go to apply after this is Subway. When you’re finished there, head on over to our Panera page. Finally, be sure to apply to Publix, where the subs are just as amazing.
