In 1991, the company was able to make a net sales figure of $50 million. In 1996 the company was purchased by Saunders Karp & Megrue, an investment firm. The new owners were poised to expand on the Charlotte Russe brand. They took the company and evolved it into a national chain and took the company public in 1999.
It was privatized again in 2009 when Advent International purchased it and placed Jenny Ming in the position of President and CEO. The culture of Charlotte Russe revolves around trendy fashion including clothes, shoes, jeans, accessories, dresses and more. The promise is that these things will be modern, but also affordable for young women.
The type of customer that the company is looking for is known as a “Charlotte Girl.” As the company states on the website: “Our Charlotte Girl is passionate about fashion, shopping, and looking fabulous for every occasion and mood in her life whether it’s pretty/flirty looks during the day or looking sexy/glam for her nights and special occasions.”
The site goes on to explain that the ideal Charlotte girl has the following characteristics: “Our Charlotte Girl is daring, shy, adventurous, happy, hopeful, smart, independent,a best friend, a sister, a daughter, amazing, inspirational…she’s everyone and every mood- we believe that every girl has a little Charlotte in her and that everyone is a Charlotte Girl.”
It’s a nice approach that encourages young women to be themselves and rock their own fashion. In a world that pressure women to look a certain way, Charlotte Russe wants them to just be themselves and love their looks at all times of the day.

The process begins here on the website as you search for openings in the location closest to you.
From here, you fill out items like your personal contact information and availability. Remember to always leave the availability as open as possible to show your willingness to work.
Any previous experience is also filled in at this step in the process. Once you finish filling out the information, you must then print the form and take it to the store of your choice.
